Moving on

Weeks later, I am out of Sammamish and now "permanently" reside in Bellevue. I'm thrilled to be so much closer to work but regret that I'm no longer within walking distance to a market. That being said I think this is the better of the two options in terms of not driving my car.

I'm still moving into my apartment in Bellevue. Unlike previous moves I don't have a garage to use as a crutch for storing old junk. Now I'm sorting through decades worth of things I've accumulated, trying to figure out what I've missed, what I'd rather not get rid of, and what needs to go in the trash. It's interesting to look through old yearbooks and see what people said so many years ago. I can't believe how much time has passed since high school, or since living in Puyallup. It was such a huge shock when Turner pointed out that I've known that group of folks for ten years.

For the one or two people who might be mildly interested, I'll try and take pictures of the apartment once it reaches some sort of a sane state.

I'm not sure how long it will be before I get another chance to try my hand at brewing beer. I need to work out some logistics such as cleaning carboys now that I don't have a yard and hose for dumping lees out in. Suffice to say, the process may be a lot harder than it was in the past.

Finally, last weekend was the annual Microsoft Intern Game. This year I had a chance to staff it, and it was a whole lot of fun. It reminds me a lot of Wildflower in the sense of something to staff where I feel incredibly tired afterwards.
